ISES Gives Back

The ISES Chicago Chapter’s March event was a memorable “Members Only” experience which offered our group a chance to roll up their sleeves and give back to the local community.

Our small but mighty team partnered directly with Community Cornerstone Outreach, an Illinois not-or-profit organization which was founded in 1989 to raise the quality of life for low-income residents in the Uptown area of Chicago. The organization has a long standing commitment to providing shelter and finding homes for families and individuals who are at the greatest risk of being excluded from necessary services. Over the last twenty-four years, CCO’s programs have expanded to serve nearly 500 men, women and children daily. With Cornerstone’s help, these families and individuals can begin to build a new life, one step at a time.

Our group gathered at the shelter, located at 4628 N. Clifton, in Chicago. Attendees arrived on location and were immediately put to work on a number of food prep and service duties. Our Event Profs prepared and served a healthy and balanced dinner to the Community members and residents as well as sorted and organized the donation collection area.

Cornerstone Community Outreach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are 100% tax deductible. If you missed this event, and prefer to make a donation by check, it should be made payable to Cornerstone Community Outreach and mailed to the following address:

BE INSPIRED: New Year! New You! Champagne & Headshots

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016

The ISES Chicago Chapter’s February event was an inspirational event hosted to get members and guests excited and for a successful 2016! ISES Chicago partnered with Rebecca Marie Photography and Joanna B. Artistry to offer members a fresh face forward, with a new headshot.

The event was hosted at Rebecca Marie Photography & Design, located in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. Attendees arrived to the studio and were escorted to the registration desk, where they were immediately put on a list for one of the three make up chairs set up by Joanna B. Artistry and her team. After registering, members were offered a glass of champagne, a soda, or a glass of apple cinnamon infused water from Food Evolution’s friendly bartender, Ruben. In addition to the refreshing beverages, Food Evolution also supplied a variety of delightful hors d’oeuvre platters, such as cheese and charcuterie or guests to enjoy while networking.

Our Chapter President, Nicole Zenner, welcomed guests and thanked all of our event sponsors by handing out sponsor certificates. Nicole thanked all the members and guests for their support and also discussed our next event, ISES Gives Back. This is a very exciting event and a great opportunity for our members and guests to get involved in a charity opportunity.

Members and guests were invited to a make up chair where the talented Joanna B. Artistry and her team worked their magic in bringing out everyone’s best features. Once members and guests were “photo ready”, they were escorted to Rebecca’s photo area. She offered guests two background options. Rebecca was extremely interactive with all of the “models”, asking them what they like and going out of her way to make every person feel comfortable, while trying to capture each individual at their very best.

The event ended around 8:30 PM and everyone seemed very happy and energized!

The event would not be success without our grateful sponsors of the evening, Rebecca Marie Photography & Design, Joanna B. Artistry, and Food Evolution.
