ISES-Chicago Be Inspired

Tuesday evening was a joint event with the ISES Chicago Chapter, NACE Chicago Chapter, and NACE Southern Wisconsin Chapter.  This inspirational event was a live design challenge between David Halsey of the Meetinghouse Companies and David Caruso of Dynamic Events and was held at The Milwaukee Art Museum.

The Milwaukee Art Museum provides beautiful event spaces that inspire: breathtaking lake views, the ultimate in grand halls, a spacious auditorium, a lavish boardroom suite, and more. Architecture, art, and exceptional service: the Museum is the perfect place for celebrations, special events, or meetings.

Guests arrived to The Milwaukee Art Museum, located in downtown Milwaukee and were greeted with a glass of champagne upon arrival.  Guests were escorted through theWindhover Hall to bar/cocktail area where they mixed and mingled during cocktail hour with passed champagne, open bar, and passed hors d’oeuvres provided by Café Calatrava.  During cocktail hour, a few guests received a fun surprise when approached by the design competitors and asked be a part of their team.

Guests were seated for dinner and the programming began with the Master of Ceremonies, David Calzaretta of Magnificent Events, introducing the talented design competitors.  After a brief introduction, the challenge began!  Halsey and Caruso took the stage with their teams.  The excitement built as the MC explained the rules of the challenge.  The designers had to create a table vignette with the items provided in the room.  Guests enjoyed a delightful three course plated dinner by Café Calatrava, while watching the teams build their creative designs.  The teams rallied guests to cheer for their design.  Each team took home a win in a single category but in the end, Caruso's team was voted for best overal design.

Once the challenge concluded, Halsey and Caruso showcased a few of their favorite trends and events.  Everyone was wowed by the creative and innovative event elements.  An interactive question/answer session concluded the evening.

The event would not be success without our grateful sponsors of the evening, Milwaukee Art Museum, Aries Charter Transportation, La Tulipe, Majic Productions, Lake Area Rentals, Arena Americas, M&M Event Rental, Coqui Designs, ACME Production Resources, Double Platinum DJ, Relics Vintage Rentals, BBJ Linen, Boelter, and Windy City Linen.
